Kajabi is mainly known as an all-in-one knowledge business solution. However, it is also a sales funnel software that you can use to create and host webinars.
A webinar has a few moving parts, including the registration process, event scheduling, live broadcasting, etc. And Kajabi has multiple features to handle these.
Kajabi Events is the main feature that will allow you to create webinars on the platform. It allows you to create a one-time or recurring event, set a schedule, and create reminder and post-webinar emails.
Moreover, Kajabi has a powerful page builder to create all the necessary pages, including registration, thank you, and webinar delivery pages.
The most impressive feature for creating Kajabi webinars is Funnels. This tool will help you create a webinar easily and quickly by setting up your event, pages, broadcast, offers, etc., from a single place.
Lastly, while Kajabi does not have a native broadcasting/live streaming feature, you can use YouTube Live to broadcast your webinar.
Fortunately, YouTube Live is completely free, the streaming quality is excellent, and it is extremely easy to start a live session and embed it on your Kajabi page.
Moreover, all these capabilities are available on all Kajabi plans, so you can create webinars irrespective of the plan you’re subscribed to.
Now that you have an overview of Kajabi’s webinar capabilities, let’s take a closer look at Kajabi Events and what you can do with it.
A Walkthrough of Kajabi Events
As mentioned above, Events is the feature that will allow you to create webinars on Kajabi, and in this section, we’ll give you a detailed overview of this tool.
If you’re already subscribed to Kajabi, you just need to log in to your account. Otherwise, you’ll first need to sign up for a free trial.
To create an event, navigate to the Marketing menu in your admin dashboard, then go to Events.
Here you’ll see a list of all your events. To create a new one, click on + New Event in the top right corner of your screen.
Next, you’ll be asked to select the date and time for your event. Plus, depending on what kind of webinar you want to host, you can either make the event a one-time occurrence or a recurring one.
If you want to create an evergreen webinar, you can use the Repeat This Event option to schedule a webinar daily or even multiple times a day.
Once you click Save, Kajabi will create your event, and you can then do other settings, such as adding event emails and setting up automations.
Let’s start by adding event emails. You can use these emails to notify your attendees about the webinar or follow up with them.
On the left of your screen, you’ll see the Event Actions section. Click Add Email.
The first step in creating a new event email is to define when you want to send it. You can time your emails in relation to your event’s date, and you have four options here:
- At the time of registration – Use this option to send webinar registration confirmation.
- At the time of the event – Use this option to send a webinar starting email.
- Before the event – Use this option to create a reminder email.
- After the event – Use this option to create a follow-up email.
Next, write an email subject and your main content. Click Save to create the email.
This is how you create an event email in Kajabi. You can repeat this process to create as many emails as you want.
For example, if you want to send reminders to your attendees 48 hours, 24 hours, and 1 hour before the event, you just need to create three different emails.
Another useful feature you’ll find on the events page is Automations. It allows you to create automation rules to automate actions around your event.
For example, you can add a tag to your users or subscribe them to an email campaign when they register for the event.

Lastly, if you want to see the list of those who registered for your event, you can click on Registrations next to Event details.
That’s it about Kajabi Events. Now let’s show you how to create an end-to-end webinar funnel from scratch.
How to Set up a Kajabi Webinar
Kajabi Funnels make it easy to create a webinar from start to finish. You can set up everything from a single place, including the event, pages, offer, etc.
To create a webinar, go to Funnels under the Marketing tab.
Then, select + New Funnel. Here you’ll see multiple funnel templates, including a Zoom Webinar template.
However, we’re going to use one of the legacy templates. For that, click on the Legacy Funnels button at the bottom of this page.
This will show you a bunch of additional templates. Select the one called Webinar to generate a live event blueprint funnel that will tie your event to your product and pages.
In the next step, Kajabi will ask you to name your funnel, select a date and time for your webinar, and choose the event type—live vs prerecorded. Here you can select the offer you wish to sell during your webinar.
Once you click on the Generate Funnel button, you’ll see a funnel automatically created with a registration page, an event, a confirmation page, the webinar room, a sales page, and a checkout page.
You’re free to customize the pages and other elements in your funnel as you wish. To do that, click on an element, and Kajabi will open the editor on the right.
The good thing about the funnel builder is that it opens the respective editors in the funnel builder interface, so you can customize the elements without leaving the builder at all.
Now, let’s get into each element of your webinar funnel.
The Registration page is where your students will register for the upcoming event and optin to receive updates and other information via email.
Your funnel’s default registration page has all the elements, a webinar landing page needs. You can further customize any of these elements, including the page text, call to action, optin form, etc.
Using the page builder, you can also add new sections or change the page layout.
To customize the registration page, click on the icon in the funnel builder. This will open the page builder, where you’ll see a live preview of the page in the center and the sections and settings in the right panel.
Now, whichever element you want to modify, just click on that in the preview area, and this will open a set of options for you to modify on the right.
For example, when you click on the top Event section on your page, you’ll see options to select a different event, change the headings and description, modify the button, show a countdown timer, etc.
You can similarly modify other page sections. If you want to add a new section, click on the Add Section option in the right panel, and you’ll be able to select from dozens of pre-built page sections.
Once you’re done customizing the page, it’s time to edit the form settings. To do that, go back to the funnel builder and click on the small menu icon below the registration page.
This will open the forms settings page where you can customize the optin form.
Here you’ll see options for single optin vs double optin, confirmation email, form fields, automations, etc.
In the Form Fields section, you can decide what information to collect from your registrants. For example, if you want to collect their mobile number, you can create a new field here, which will automatically appear on your opt-in form.
The Confirmation Page is what your users will see once they register for the event. This is a simple page just to show a confirmation message, and you can edit it in the same way you edited the Registration Page.
The next funnel step is the event Kajabi created for you while setting up the funnel. When you click on it, it will open the same Events interface, which we walked you through earlier in the article.
Here you can change your event details, such as title, date and time, event emails, etc.
Webinar Room is where your users will watch the actual webinar, so you’ll embed your YouTube Live event on this page.
As mentioned at the beginning, Kajabi doesn’t include native broadcasting capabilities, and your best option is to use the free Youtube Live feature.
To do this, schedule a Youtube Live event and copy the video ID. Then, click on the Youtube Live section on your page and paste the ID.
Additionally, you can choose to include a YouTube Live chat on the page.

After your webinar is over, you’ll direct your users to a sales page. Here, you can reiterate your webinar’s main points and allow your users to sign up for your offer. This could be an online course, a membership site, or a coaching program.
The funnel sales page includes default sections like the Hero section, features and benefits, call to action, etc. Again, you can customize your sales page like other pages in the funnel.

Finally, you’ll see the Offer Checkout at the end of your funnel. When you click on this, you’ll be able to configure the pricing, product access, and post-purchase flow. You can also customize your checkout page design here.
This is how you customize the various steps in your webinar funnel. You can also delete the existing steps and add new ones to your funnel.
For example, if you want to offer a paid webinar, you can replace the default registration page with a sales page and a checkout page. You can then create an automation to automatically register the buyers to your event.
After you’ve edited the funnel to your liking, you can invite people to attend your webinar by clicking on the Copy Link button at the top of the screen.
This URL will take users to the webinar registration page, and the funnel will take care of the rest.
Creating an Evergreen Webinar in Kajabi
Creating a pre-recorded webinar in Kajabi is pretty similar to creating a live webinar. There are just two minor differences in the process:
- Make sure you set the event to repeat and select the correct recurrence interval.
- Replace Youtube Live section on the Webinar Room page with a video section and upload your video recording.
Everything else in the process remains the same.
