With Kajabi Coaching, you can create a single-session or a multiple-session coaching program and then add and manage each session’s agenda, relevant resources, and notes.
Kajabi has a built-in live video feature, so you can go live for your sessions directly from the platform. However, if you’re fond of your other broadcasting apps like Zoom or Google Meet, you’ll be able to use them as well.
Moreover, Kajabi also has a native scheduler through which your students can pick a slot for the coaching sessions. Yet again, if you want to use outside scheduling apps like Calendly or Acuity, you are free to do that too.
So, Kajabi Coaching offers you all the features for building and running a 1-on-1 coaching program and the good thing is that it’s available on Kajabi pricing plans.

How to Create a Coaching Program in Kajabi
As mentioned previously, Coaching is a product type in Kajabi. Other product types include Course, Community, and Podcast.
If you’re already subscribed to Kajabi, you just need to log in to your account. Otherwise, you’ll first need to sign up for a free trial.
Set Up Your Coaching Product
To set up a coaching product, go to Products -> Coaching on your Kajabi admin dashboard, then click on the Get Started button.
In the next step, Kajabi will ask you to choose between Single Session and Package format.
If your coaching has just one session, choose the first option. Otherwise, go for the Package option.
If you select Package, you will also have to write down the number of sessions you plan on having.
Afterward, add a title and description for your coaching, and click on the Continue button.
Next, you’ll be asked to select your scheduling preferences. You will get to choose from the following options:
- Kajabi scheduler
- Custom link
- Manual booking
We recommend using the native Kajabi scheduler since it’s free to use, offers the best end-user experience, and unlocks a whole range of additional features for your coaching program.
After that, you’ll need to select how you want to deliver the live session and set a session duration. We recommend using the built-in live video option as it’s tightly integrated into the platform.
Once done, click on Continue.
Now, you’ll be able to customize your program’s appearance by picking a primary and secondary color and uploading a banner image.
Your selections will influence how the coaching program appears to your clients, and you can change these later if you want.
After you’ve followed all the steps described above, you’ll be able to set a price for your Coaching product. You can either make your coaching free or paid.
If you decide to charge your customers, you can choose from three different payment models:
After you choose one, set the price and select your payment provider, which can be Stripe, PayPal, or both.
When you set a price for your product, a new Kajabi Offer is created. You can modify the offer details, pricing, or bundle additional products by going to Sales -> Offers in your admin dashboard.
The initial setup for your coaching product is now done. Next, it’s time to set up individual sessions.
On your Coaching product page, you’ll either see a Session Template or a Package Outline option, depending on your choice during the initial setup.
To add details to an individual session, click on the ellipses next to it and select the Edit Details option.
When you open a session for editing, you’ll see the option to change the title, add a session description, list agenda items, and add links and files that could be useful for your clients.
You’ll need to repeat this process for each coaching session before you can start enrolling clients in your coaching program.
Manage Your Clients and Sessions
Apart from making it easy to structure your coaching program, Kajabi also offers you the tools to run and manage it easily. In this section, we’ll show you how to use those tools.
First and foremost, when clients purchase your coaching, they’ll be able to access it from their private portal. They can see all the sessions included in the package and their details.
To schedule a session, your clients need to click on Schedule Now next to it. This will open up a calendar where they can select the exact date and time from the available slots.
As a creator, Kajabi allows you to manage your schedule and choose your available hours. To do that, go to Settings, under your Coaching product.
Scroll down to the Scheduling section and click on Manage Availability. This will open a new page where you can enter your availability.
If you want to hold live coaching sessions, you can use Kajabi’s native live video tool.
To do that, you’ll need to go to the Clients menu on your Coaching product dashboard. Here you’ll see a list of all active and past clients.
When you click on the client’s name, you’ll see their profile, their program progress, and arrange 1-on-1 live sessions.
Here you’ll see all the coaching sessions. For the scheduled ones, you’ll see the Go Live option. You can even reschedule the sessions if you want.
For the unscheduled sessions, you’ll instead see the Schedule Session option.
From the client’s perspective, when the date and time of your coaching session arrives, they can simply click on Join Session on the Coaching page and join the live session.
Kajabi’s live video feature allows you to record your session as well, and you can upload the same to the session’s area by visiting the client profile.
Remember the native live session feature is only available if you select the Manual Booking or Kajabi Scheduler options. If you’re using Calendly or a custom URL, you’ll have to use third-party services to go live with your students.
Apart from the live video feature, another useful coaching tool Kajabi offers is Notes.
For every coaching session, there’s a separate Notes area. Both the coach and the client can create private notes as well as shared notes.
As a coach, you can create notes by clicking on the client’s profile and selecting a specific session. On the other hand, students can write notes in the session area inside their private dashboard.
