Kajabi is an all-in-one platform that allows you to sell knowledge products, such as online courses and coaching, and manage the marketing and sales side of your business as well.
But what if you want to brand your course platform as your own? That’s where Kajabi white label comes into play.
In this article, we’ll explore Kajabi’s white label options and their costs and show you how to remove the platform’s branding.
Let’s get started.
Why White Label Your Course Builder?
Building a course platform from scratch to create and host your courses requires significant investments of time and money, so it’s better to use a platform like Kajabi and its features.
But why white label your course platform? Here are the main advantages of white labeling your course platform:
- Consistent branding: A white labeled course platform presents a consistent look and feel across your website and courses.
- Enhanced trust: A white label platform looks more professional, and customers know they’re dealing with your business and not a third-party provider, which helps build trust.
- Better user experience: Kajabi’s branding also includes a link back to the Kajabi homepage, which can distract your users.
Now, let’s look at the different white labeling options available and their associated costs.
Kajabi’s White Label Options
In this section, we’ll discuss the options you have for white labeling Kajabi and the steps for implementing each of them.
1. Use a Custom Domain
All websites created on Kajabi include the platform’s subdomain in their URLs, which looks something like this: sellcoursesonline.mykajabi.com.
However, you don’t have to keep that subdomain. Instead, you can replace it with your own domain.
Here are some advantages of using a custom domain:
- A clean URL that can be easily read increases your site’s credibility and professionalism.
- You can add your business name to your site URL, which helps keep the brand experience consistent.
- A custom domain is better for SEO and, thus, for your Kajabi website in the long run.
- Having your own domain name makes it easier to move your course content to another platform.
A custom domain is the primary and most vital white labeling option, and we advise all creators who are serious about their business to use one.
And you can connect a custom domain on all Kajabi pricing plans.
To get started, go to your Kajabi dashboard, and from the left-side menu, select Settings → Domain.
This will open a new page where you should choose the Setup custom domain option. From here, you can add a custom domain or subdomain.
If you want to connect your main domain to Kajabi, use the first option. Otherwise, if you have an existing website on another platform, you can add a subdomain.
To connect a custom domain, select Connect domain to Kajabi, and scroll to the bottom of the page, where you’ll enter your custom domain name.
After clicking the Next button, you’ll see two default nameservers that your domain needs to point to. Log into your domain provider’s account and modify these parameters in your DNS settings.
Once you complete this step, go back to your Kajabi account, and on the domain setup page, click on Done! Let’s verify nameservers.
That’s it! You’ve successfully added your domain.
2. Remove Kajabi Branding
When you create a course on Kajabi, the platform’s Powered by Kajabi link will be visible in the footer area of your site by default.
However, you can remove this branding, and you should consider this option because it will help you maintain brand consistency and enhance user experience.
To remove Kajabi’s branding, you need to be on the Growth plan ($199/month) or higher.
However, if this option doesn’t fit your budget, don’t worry too much about it. The branding is unobtrusive, and most visitors to your website won’t even notice it.
If you do decide to remove Kajabi branding, the steps are simple. Go to your admin dashboard, then Settings → Site Details.
On the Site Details page, scroll to the bottom of the page to the Kajabi Branding section, and toggle the Display Powered by Kajabi switch off.
3. Get White Label Mobile Apps
Your students can use the free Kajabi mobile app to access courses and communities on their mobile devices. However, it’s Kajabi’s app, and your own branding is limited to just the course area, which takes us to the next white labeling option Kajabi offers: a branded mobile app.
Kajabi’s branded app feature lets you create white label mobile apps for your students. These apps are published in the Google Play store or App Store under your business name, and you have complete control over the app branding.
You’ll be able to get branded apps for $199/month on top of your current plan’s pricing. However, keep in mind that you must be subscribed to the Growth or Pro plan to request branded apps.
This white labeling option is ideal for established creators and brands that want to create a fully branded user experience across all properties. The feature is still in beta, so you’ll need to join the waitlist for now.
4. Email White Labeling
Email white labeling refers to the ability to use your own domain for email sending.
Although this option doesn’t alter the user experience—since few students will pay attention to the email’s sender field—if you desire to white label every aspect of the platform you’re using, a custom email domain might be your solution.
Unfortunately, Kajabi only partially supports email white labeling. While you can send marketing emails from your own domain, the transactional emails will still go out from a Kajabi email.
However, you can set a reply-to email and make sure that all the email replies are received in your inbox.
To add a reply-to email, click Settings from the left side menu, select Site Settings, and in the General tab, add your email address.
As we mentioned earlier, you can set marketing emails to come from your own domain. To add a custom email domain, your Kajabi website must be on a custom domain.
If you meet that requirement, go to Settings → Marketing Settings. In the Email Settings section, you’ll see the option to set up a custom email domain.
